Medical Coatings Developer Acquires R&D Facilities Fort Washington, PA (September 9, 2003) -- Biocoat, Inc., an R&D company specializing in HYDAK® biomaterials coatings for medical device applications has acquired the assets of Beacon Research, Inc. Beacon Research, established as a non-profit research company affiliated with Arcadia University, was incorporated in 1986. It's laboratories and facilities are located in Glenside, PA. Prior to the acquisition, Biocoat had contracted with Beacon Research for manufacturing and research and development. Biocoat plans to continue operating the Glenside facilities while retaining the former Beacon Research employees.
